Northwest Sons at the Nectar Lounge July 2011

So after being away for a few months The Northwest Sons came back to the Nectar Lounge in Seattle.  The show inclueded Wassabi Collective opening and Mike Pinto headlining.  Sence last time I was there the Nectar added a new smoke machine adding a new element to my photos.  So on to the photos...

Psychedelic Reggae Rock.  3 words that keyhole Jon Wayne and the Pain, but doesn't really do them justice.  You need to go see this band.  I have been playing the scratch recording I made at the show over and over,  especially the dub step track they do.  I will try go get my videos from this show up this weekend.  On to the photos...

Ethan Tucker at Jazzbones June 18 2011

Ethan Tucker has killed it every time I have seen him and he didn't disappoint this time.  He puts on an amazing one man show dancing around the stage, when he is not singing his heart out at the mic.  I have a video I will post in a few days that will show you what I mean.

Conscious Culture Festival - Elbow Coulee

After Mighty High was up at the Conscious Culture Festival, came Elbow Coulee. An odd thing I was thinking about a few weeks ago. Sometimes I dont notice the music of a band as much as what they look like in my camera. In other words, if a band is killing it visualy on the stage I am all into shooting it... Well Elbow Coulee killed it visualy, and I think they played some pretty good music. ;) lol

Wednesday Night Reggae Session at Jazzbones 6/15/2011

It was an international reggae night at Jazzbones in Tacoma last Wednesday. Opening up the night was Tacoma locals, Mighty High. Then after a hassle at the border Current Swell from Victoria hit the stage. Closing up the night was Dubtonic Kru from Kingston.

Unfortanatly I had to leave the show early and didnt get to see Dubtonic Kru's show. I was pretty bummed as their warmup was amazing.

Off to shoot the Conscious Culture Festival

Every year I go over to Tonasket in Eastern Washington to go to an event called the Okanogan Family Faire or just Barter Faire. It is always a great event and I always bring back new memories. So when a friend told me last year that there was going to be a summer music festival there I jumped at the chance to go back to 'holy ground'.

Well for better and for worse the CCF is no Barter Faire, this was a music and culture festival. Me and my friends had a great time, and I got some amazing photos, one of the storm and rainbow that came our way. This year I was invited by the organizers to take photos. So Friday I will be over at the 2011 Conscious Culture Festival shooting photos of the event, bands and scenery.
